The festival, also known as the Battle of Flowers, commemorates the Battle of the Alamo, which took place in San Antonio, and the Battle of San Jacinto, which led to Texas' independence from Mexico in April 1836.Fiesta is an annual celebration of San Antonio's vibrant history and culture. Fiesta takes place over the course of 10 or more days, typically near the end of April. During Fiesta, you can enjoy parades, delicious food, exhibits, pageantry, military observances, and more. More than 100 local nonprofit organizations and military units create more than 100 terrific events that take place over 11 days ranging in highlights from music, food, sports and pageantry to military and patriotic observances, exhibits, parades, Fiesta Royalty and more.
The origins of the first Fiesta celebration date back to 1891 when a group of women from elite San Antonio society—the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT)—bedecked themselves and their horse-drawn carriages in flowers.
San Antonio's Fiesta started in 1891 as a way to honor the heroes of the Alamo. Rivaled only by New Orleans Mardi Gras, Fiesta is one of the largest celebrations in the South. Fiesta will take place during a week to two week period at the end of April. Where New Orleans has beads, San Antonio has fiesta medals.
Although Fiesta medals were in existence prior to 1971, they were not available to the general public and were only worn by King Antonio, PMO members and special Fiesta Commission guests. However, today fiesta medals are created, produced, and made to celebrate and share among fiesta goers.

We can ship to virtually any address in the U.S. Note that there are restrictions on some products.
All shipping times are estimates given by the carrier once they receive a package. We will do our best to ship orders placed Sunday through Thursday within 48 hours of receipt. Orders placed on the weekend will ship at the start of the new business week. If we are unable to do so we will contact you via email or phone.
Return Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
